Tsar Nicholas II children's remains found

Analysis of DNA and bones showed that Crown Prince Alexei and his youngest sister, Maria, were among 11 people, including the Tsar, his family and aides, executed by Bolsheviks in 1918.
In 1991 remains of nine of the victims were found, leading to rumours that the children had escaped the purge.
However, the tests by American scientists showed that the two children were among those killed.
